PCT Stinging Insects Virtual Conference
Stinging insect control can be a profitable service offering, but it’s not always easy work and it comes with important safety considerations. The good news is that there’s a solution for even the most difficult situations. It begins with identifying the insect and the problem, then employing the appropriate control measures. Assisting PMPs with stinging insect identification are a number of great industry resources, including the recently published PCT Field Guide to Stinging & Biting Arthropods, which was authored by the late Stoy Hedges and Gerry Wegner. Join Wegner on Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. (EST) for the free webinar “Safe and Effective Strategies for Managing Stinging Insects.” Wegner will review commonly encountered stinging insects and effective control strategies, and he’ll share how the new Stinging & Biting Arthropods Field Guide can be used by PMPs as a training tool and in-the-field resource. Wegner also will share case studies based on his experience as technical/training director. Attendees also will have opportunities to ask Wegner their toughest stinging insect control questions.
